Members of Rihanna’s family in her native Barbados thought boyfriend Chris Brown”flew so far under everyone’s radar that we just didn’t think he was that [abusive] type,” a relative had quoted.
Chris Brown’s stepfather and father have had their say about the whole violent episode that took place between Rihanna and her R&B singer boyfriend Chris Brown. Now it’s Rihanna’s father, Ronald Fenty, turn to bestow his views on the domestic violent incident. He said that if he were in his daughter’s shoes he would “move on.”
Brown was arrested on Feb 8th for assaulting female – Rihanna – in Los Angeles. He is said to have issued a statement of apology in which he mentions that he is willing to seek therapy, and he also faces charges from the district attorney.
The entire turn of events has come as a shock to the family. “He was always looking after her needs,” says the relative, “making sure she was happy.”
An MTV veejay said that Rihanna, who celebrates her 20th birthday on the 20th of Feb and Chris Brown,19, were a perfect match. Now their future together is unknown.
But her father, Ronald Fenty, who is concerned for his daughter, is adamant about what he said earlier. When it comes to Chris Brown, he thinks his daughter should “move on.” A relative agrees: “I don’t want her to go back to him. I don’t think anyone does.”
Fenty thinks that Rihanna should learn from this experience, to do good and to stand up for women all over the globe. He said that she will be all right and will at some point speak up for herself.
