‘American Idol’ Judges Talk Too Much

Last night’s ‘American Idol’ show had a few new rules. They weren’t for the contestants this time. They were for the judges. Only two out of the four judges were allowed to comment on the contestants. Why you ask? Because the episode before that exceeded the time limit by 8 minutes and in TV world that’s a lot.
The ‘American Idol’ host Ryan Seacrest explained saying, “We’re working in teams tonight, so we make it in on time.” Judge Simon Cowell was straight forward as usual and said that his fellow female panelists talked too much last week. In spite of all this, the show exceeded over the schedule by 3 minutes.
Sources have reported that for the next years ‘American Idol’, only 3 of the 4 judges will be returning. We didn’t haven’t heard which 3. An insider said that Paula wants to stay in the show for as long as Simon Cowell stays and Kara wants Paula Abdul to get the axe. Paula made a comment saying that having a fourth judge just doesn’t work and they had tried having guest judges in other shows but it never worked out.
After this comment from Paula, Kara said that she was disappointed by her comments and was hurt that she didn’t tell her this personally. The two have been pals for a decade and the camaraderie seems to have shifted because of the increasing turmoil. The problem is nobody really cares bout the judges, the show is about the contestants and for a little part Simon Cowell.

never in my life have i heard anyone say the words “nobody cares about the judges”!. that sure was a first! if anything, the JUDGES is all I hear about, as a casual viewer. if it was the contestants that made idol nr 1… how do you explain that ALL other singing shows fail big time and only idol is a hit?
