Well, Olympic Gold is not all that Amanda Beard can win. She has won another feather in her cap, this time of quite a personal nature. Amanda Beard is now engaged to her long time photographer beau Sacha Brown. Beard is now ready to marry Brown after a long relationship of over 3 years.
“We are thrilled to be starting the next chapter in our lives together,” exclaims Beard. “We are completely in love and to top it off we are best friends.” She says Sacha proposed to her on Christmas morning in what she calls was the most perfect way, without divulging any details about the proposal.
Beard says this is indeed a match made in heaven. She claims, “He is truly the man of my dreams and every day I spend with him is a blessing.” On her engagement, she has only two words to express her feelings, “Basically, it rocks!”
Amanda Beard is one of the few athletes around the world who have competed in four straight Olympic Games. She started when she was just 14 years old and her first Olympic Games appearance happened in 1996. Since then she has competed in every Olympic Games right until last year’s Beijing Olympics.
Beard has also modeled off and on and has the infamy of being featured in Playboy. It was on one of her modeling assignment that she first met her future beau, Sacha Brown.
