A peck on the cheek from Robert Pattison was auctioned off was $20,000 to 2 different bidders at a charity auction in Cannes. The money went to The Foundation for Aids Research. The auction was held to raise AIDS awareness. In the gala were present Josh Hartnett, Paris Hilton, Sharon Stone and Dita von Teese.
It turns out Josh Hartnett offered to strip down to raise money as well but the bids didn’t go high enough. That must have been embarrassing. Among other things that were auctioned were Bill Clinton’s saxophone and a private screening of Ingluorious Basterds. Elton John’s husband David Furnish sold his own watch.
The host, Sharon Stone paid tribute to late Natasha Richardson who has worked for charity. Diane Kruger and Joshua Jackson were also at the charity event and tried to sell a Chanel transporter. Bill Clinton’s saxophone was bought off for a whooping $130,000 which made a huge chunk of the cash collected.
On a total, the auction collected over $1 million and the chairman, Harvey Weinstein, said this was the highest in 15 years. Looks like the bad economy has not affected as many as you think. The charity was said to be a great success and was reported to have been designed by Donatella Versace.
The event has a lot of star crowd like Paris Hilton, Eva Herzigova, Robert Wright Penn and Marion Cotillard. They seem to have done a very good job in loosening the crowd’s purse strings.

I recently came across your blog and have been reading along. I thought I would leave my very first comment. Nice blog. I will keep visiting this web site very frequently.
