Rapper T.I. backed up his friend Chris Brown who is apparently facing bad publicity after being arrested for allegedly beating his pop star girlfriend, Rihanna, in Los Angeles’ Hancock Park on Sunday, after a heated argument between the two.
The rapper said he was able to speak to the R&B singer, just a day after 19-year-old Brown was arrested for attacking a female, who is thought to be Rihanna. Without making any identification of the female victim, the Los Angeles police were quoted saying her injurie
s were “visible.”
Brown, who is in the spotlight, is now under investigation while Rihanna though hurt badly in the bloody tiff, is now recovering and seems to be doing fine.
While being interviewed on the Monday edition of NBC late-night show Last Call with Carson Daly, T.I. said he had spoken to Brown on the same day. He also added that Brown was cool and a great person. Though the rapper admitted that he didn’t know the details or the reason for the couple’s fight, he sympathized with Brown saying that it would all pass.
The 28-year-old Grammy award-winning rapper had also mentioned to Daly in his interview that even though they were entertainers and celebrities, they were all still human and that they all made mistakes too. T.I. himself is all set to serve a one-year prison term in March this year after he was convicted of felony for the possession of machine guns and silencers.
Brown’s arraignment is fixed on 5th March. On Monday, he boarded a flight out of Los Angeles. Rihanna is expected to leave Los Angeles soon.
