After five and a half years of marriage, Tom Cruise and Katie Holmes made a divorce statement.

The former ex-couple issued a mutual statement that reads:

 

“We are committed to working together as parents to accomplish what is in our daughter Suri’s best interests. We want to keep matters affecting our family private and express our respect for each other’s commitment to each of our respective beliefs and support each other’s roles as parents,”

“The case has been settled and the agreement has been signed. We are thrilled for Katie and her family and are excited to watch as she embarks on the next chapter of her life… We thank Tom’s counsel for their professionalism and diligence that helped bring about this speedy resolution.”

 

Sources say that their daughter Suri will live in New York City with Holmes, while Cruise is given visitation rights.

Alec Baldwin and Hilaria Thomas celebrated their marriage at St. Patrick’s Old Cathedral in NYC on Saturday (June 30).

As we know, Baldwin began dating Hilaria Thomas on summer 2011 and on April 2012, they announced their engagement. This is the second time Baldwin got hitched after his previous marriage to Kim Basinger on 1993.

Kate Middleton recently joined inner city schoolchildren camping expedition for Expanding Horizons.

Expanding Horizons is a course in which kids of inner-city backgrounds are given the opportunity for exploration in the countryside. The said program is supported by ARK Schools, which is part of Prince William and Harry’s charitable foundation.

And now, in the newly released trailer for the movie, we can see an emotional scene where Fantine (Anne Hathaway), a prostitute suffering from tuberculosis, is enforced to sell her locks to provide for her daughter, Cosette (Amanda Seyfried).

Bee Gees singer Robin Gibb died on Sunday (May 20), according to a statement on his website.

Gibb “passed away today following his long battle with cancer and intestinal surgery,” said the statement, which was attributed to his family. He died in England at 10:47 a.m. (5:47 a.m. ET), according to a post on his official Twitter feed.

In an interview of CNN’s Poppy Harlow to Jay-Z, the rapper admits that he is not against with the legalization of the controversial gay marriage.

He said that the anti-gay legislation “no different from discriminating against blacks.”
