Clay Aiken left the American Idol management firm and got Kelly Clarkson to join him. The American Idol team naturally didn’t like this and weren’t very welcoming when he planned to give the finalists a pep talk few weeks ago.
In retaliation, he started to blog against them saying the show was too commercialized and didn’t really find the raw talent that it was supposed to as the ones who pass through already seem to know the whole deal.
He also said that the judges show clear favoritism towards one contestant and seem to be telling the voters what to do. He also said that the voters probably got tired of being told what to do and voted for the other contestant.
It seems like he is not a big fan of Adam Lambert as he said when he ones tuned into AI, he heard Adam sing and he made his ears bleed. He also said that American Idol was also about personality as much as it is about singing and that Adam lacked both. He feels that there was obvious bias in the competition this year and that one contestant was hyped more than the other.
He blogged that the show was different when he was a contestant and that the in seasons 1 to 3, people won it because they were ‘real’ people who entertained well and somewhere along the way, AI stopped being about real people. A little confusing I must say.
