Farrah Fawcett’s Funeral at Los Angeles

Ryan and Redmond O’Neal were present with Farrah Fawcett’s closest friends for her private funeral on Tuesday afternoon. The ceremony was conducted at the Cathedral of Our Lady of the Angels in downtown Los Angeles.
There were around 200 guests attending the hour-long Catholic service. The guests included Fawcett’s Charlie’s Angels costar Kate Jackson, Marla Maples, Joan Collins and Tatum O’Neal.
Farrah’s long time pal Alana Stewart and her doctor delivered the eulogies. “Goodbye sweet girl,” said Stewart. “[Farrah] never felt sorry for herself during her illness … she fought cancer furiously.”
“She’s the most beautiful angel in heaven,” Stewart added. “She always seemed so indestructible.”
The American actress died of cancer at the age of 62. City police and private security lined up the streets at the funeral. A hearse drove up just a few minutes before the funeral began. Ryan and son Redmond served as pallbearers carrying Fawcett’s casket. This was full of yellow and orange flowers.
“Amazing Grace” was played on a bagpipe at the beginning of the funeral service. This also included a few Bible readings and prayer.
Lisa Fawcett, the actress’s cousin told PEOPLE “The funeral was really just beautiful and so sweet.” “everyone just embraced [Redmond],” she said at a special moment during the service. Her son Redmond is 24 years old. He’s been in jail and was allowed to leave jail and attend the ceremony.
Vans shuttled guests to the reception at the Jonathan Club after the service concluded. A band played Fawcette’s favorite songs.
