Just when we thought that we had seen the last of Heidi Montag and Spencer Pratt on the NBC’s reality hit I’m a Celebrity … Get Me Out of Here!, we find that they are going to be back.
We don’t know what groveling they had to do to get back on the show, but they sure had to do some. “We are going to go talk to the cast and we are going to say, ‘Guys, Spencer and Heidi want back in. We ourselves are not yet clear why, because we are going to be asking them live on TV, but should they complete a task set by producers, we would like you to decide whether or not you would like them back,’ ” says Paul Telegdy, NBC’s executive vice president of alternative programming.
Meanwhile, life in the jungle is beginning to affect the people. Says Telegdy, “John Salley’s been sobbing and crying and weeping like a man of his size rarely does! He had an argument with Janice [Dickinson] and in remorse was absolutely, honestly heartbroken.”
Telegdy adds, “so the reality is turning into reality, which is what this show was intended to do.”
Heidi and Spencer have already tried to quit the game three times now. According to a rep for the couple, “Heidi and Spencer are still in the jungle and part of the show.” Telegdy says with a laugh, “Spencer and Heidi’s role is as ever a complete enigma!”
