Jamie Spears wants to shut down Britney’s fan site

Britney Spear’s fansite, BreatheHeavy.com, owned by Jordan Miller, who has supported her the past five years, runs a risk of being shut down. As Britney Spears’s legal conservator, her father has taken legal action over some of its contents. Jordan Miller argues that the sole purpose of the site is to support the troubled star and to stick by her through the good and bad times.

“When I did not conform to demands Britney’s management and father, Jamie Spears, recently put upon BreatheHeavy to stay quiet, they became angry and malicious, launching, what I feel is an unjust attack, against me and my website,” says Miller, the webmaster. He was sent a legal notice to shut the website down by 3 p. m. on Friday or as the star’s conservator, her father would take legal action.

The legal notice claims that the website is replete with unauthorized use of lyrics, audio, video clipping and photos of the 27 year old singer. Miller says the site is a non- profitable endeavor and costs him nearly $350 per month to maintain it. He has also called out to the fans to donate funds till the situation is handled.

It does look like her father is throwing around his new found power of being her legal conservator, which gives him the power to take necessary actions. Maybe he missed out the word ‘necessary’. I mean come on! Who tries to shut down a fan site?
