In the middle of the controversy surrounding Jason Mesnick, Melissa Rycroft and Molly Malaney in The Bachelor, there is the wonderful news that Jillian Harris who finished third in The Bachelor is going to star in The Bachelorette next.
Jillian Harris, 29 who is an interior designer from Canada said she is very excited about being in The Bachelorette. She jokingly said that she should thank Jason Mesnick for giving her a chance to have 25 men fight for her love. Nice sense of humor I must say.
“It’s a very unorthodox way to find love. but we are living in a world where people are doing things differently,” she said. “It’s a great opportunity.”
“I fell in love once before and I know it’s a great venue for me to fall in love again.”
“Seeing what Jason went through makes you realize there’s no guarantees in life,” Jillian Harris added. “I only hope I make the right choice the first time.” Well said Jill.
The host of both the shows, The Bachelor and The Bachelorette, Chris Harrison said that Jillian Harris also called Jill, has really captured America’s heart. And that he found the groundswell of support for her from the whole of America to become the new Bachelorette, overwhelming.
Regarding her family’s reaction about her hometown date, she also made a promise saying she didn’t want her dad to see any more hot tub scenes like in the last season. Well that’s one less thing to expect this season.
I’m so glad Jason did not pick Jillian, she is too good for him anyway… men should be competing for her, no the other way around
