Kristen Stewart has been in the hot seat after her interview with Nylon magazine was published online and after the Oscars when her father made some not-so-Twilight-friendly comments. If you don’t know what happened, here’s a brush-up of the events.
At the Academy Awards, wherein Twilight co-star Robert Pattinson was an award presenter, someone asked Kirsten’s dad TV producer John Stewart why his daughter wasn’t with Rob on the red carpet, he answered that Kristen would present at the Oscars “when it’s a great movie, not just one that makes a lot of money.”
Of course, this turned many fans red-faced mad at Kristen, while others insisted it wasn’t her opinion but her dads. Unfortunately for Kristen, her Nylon mag interview didn’t help her image either.
On the Nylon issue, Kristen appears like she’s complaining, saying “If we (Pattinson & Stewart) go out in public, every little detail is scrutinized, like the way I stand next to him. And it’s like, I know this guy really fucking well [laughs]. It’s only natural that we’re sort of leaning on each other, because we’re put in the most fucking psychotic situations.”
While it has been half a year since Kristen and the other cast members of Twilight has been promoting the film, Stewart still isn’t used to the fame and “Twilight Mania.” She says, “Anywhere we’d go for Twilight was a psychotic situation. The sound was deafening, and it’s thoughtless, as well… You get a slew of all these bullshit questions like, ‘What’s it like to kiss a vampire?’ and ‘How much do you love Robert?’ Then you’ll get one that’s actually real, but you’re like, ‘No, I can’t right now, I can’t even consider [it].”
While this did it for some hardcore Twilight fans, some still stood behind Kristen as they said she was just being shy and is not used to the fame Twilight has brought, since after all, Stewart has been choosing indie films in the past few years.
However, when Kristen, Rob Pattinson and Taylor Lautner went to Tokyo for the Japan Twilight premiere, Kristen’s mood was playful and friendly. She even answered the question, ‘What’s it like to kiss a vampire?’ when asked by one of the people from the press conference. Check out the video below…
