It is now official that Madonna is going to Malawi again to adopt another child according to The Associated Press and People Magazine. They say that she has already filed papers and they have confirmed this news with an American government official. Her case may may even get heard on Monday. She has been trying to adopt a four year old girl from Malawi from the past year but the girl’s relatives have been trying to prevent this. The girl’s name is Mercy James. We don’t know if it’s the same girl she is going to return with.
In an interview with the Malawi Nation magazine she had expressed her desires to adopt again and this time with the governments support. She wants both the Malawi people and the government to support her decision. The 50 year old actress will be accompanied by her three year old son, David Banda who was also adopted from Malawi. David Banda’s father, Yohane Banda said, “Someone from Raising Malawi visited me last week and told me that my son may be visiting me sometime next week. I am delighted. I want to see my son.”
Raising Malawi is the charity non-profit organization co- founded by Madonna and Michael Berg in 2006 aimed at helping poverty stricken orphans of Malawi. Though she gets criticized for a lot of things, it looks like she does have a big heart. Let’s hope she gets the child with no trouble.
