Marg Helgenberger wants a divorce
After being married for nineteen years to Alan Rosenberg and separated for four months, Marg Helgenberger has officially filed for a divorce. They seemed to be having some trouble and in October 2008, People magazine reported saying her representative had told them that the couple were taking some time apart from each other. Looks like they liked the time apart better and in December 2008, they officially filed for divorce.
Irreconcilable differences is said to be the reason for the divorce according to the short petition filed in Los Angeles County Superior Court. She is asking for spousal compensation from her actor/ producer husband but refuses to give him any. People Magazine reported that they love and respect each other and are committed to their family during the reports of their ‘time apart’.
The CSI actress has an eighteen year old son, Hugh, with her estranged husband. She is a great actress and is well known for her roles in CSI: Crime Scene Investigation and China Beach, for which she won a best supporting actress award. Helgenberger is 50 and her husband is 58 were married in 1989 after dating for 3 years. Rosenberg is the president of Screen Actors Guild and was a regular on ‘LA law’ and ‘The Guardian’. He also received an Emmy nomination for his guest role on ER.
Following Helgenberher’s mother’s 27 year battle with breast cancer, she and her husband have started a fight against breast cancer and host a benefit every year called Marg and Alan’s Celebrity Weekend. We wonder if that’s going to continue.
