Oprah to Rihanna: “He Will Hit You Again”

Oprah Winfrey warns Rihanna that her boyfriend R&B singer Chris Brown will hit her again, probably after hearing that Rihanna has reconciled with Brown.
On Oprah’s Friday show, Winfrey said, “Love doesn’t hurt,” as she announced to dedicate a program this week to discuss domestic violence.
“If a man hits you once, he will hit you again. He will hit you again,” says Oprah.
In an article on New York Daily News, Manhattan’s former sex-crimes prosecutor Linda Fairstein compares Brown to O.J. Simpson, who repeatedly had beaten his wife, Nicole Brown Simpson, before she was slain in 1994.
Fairstein warns Rihanna that she risks not only more bruises, but is possibly risking her life. She adds, “Many of the circumstances in her case were like the early warning signs in the O.J. Simpson case.”
After the police report given by Rihanna was released stating that Chris Brown had choked Rihanna saying “Now I’m really going to kill you” is a particularly bad sign because “choking behavior is a very interesting factor. It’s hands-on, face-to-face. It’s a very intimate type of violence.”
