Rihanna’s Father and Mentor Speak Out

Rihanna’s father, Ronald Fenty has finally spoken to the press after the incident in which Chris Brown ‘beat around’ his daughter and left her in a car on the side of a road, without the car keys. He started with saying that when he heard the news that his daughter was beaten up, “I didn’t believe it.”
Rihanna has returned to her home in Barbados for some tender loving care as she heals from the attack at the hands of her boyfriend. Her father says she is spending time with her family and girl friends as she is recuperating. He says, “There is some bruising. She will be all right. I think so.”
While her body may recover and completely heal, but her father is hoping that she also heals emotionally as well. While he says that he would never interfere with her daughter’s life, he says, “If it were me, I’d move on.” He says he last met his daughter and Chris together last July and he says they seemed quite happy and he can not understand what may have gone wrong between them.
He says of Chris, “You think you know somebody, but you really don’t.”
On the other hand, Rihanna’s mentor Jay-Z  also asks for support for his protégé. He says, “She’s going through a tough time. You have to realize she’s a young girl, as well. She’s very young.” He added, “You have to have compassion for others. Just imagine it being your sister or mom and then think about how we should talk about that.”
