Salma Hayek appears on a segment for the Rachael Ray show that airs this Wednesday. Hayek and Rachael are seen chatting away like old friends and discuss a number of things as Hayek talks openly and freely about her experiences.
They discuss Hayek kissing Alec Baldwin on 30 Rock, where she does a guest appearance as Baldwin’s girlfriend. Hayek says she uses her ex-fiancé and current boyfriend Francois-Henri Pinault as her inspiration. “I keep telling Francois, ‘I Imagine I was kissing you,’ ” says Hayek. Hayek and Pinault broke their engagement earlier, but have continued to remain a couple. Hayek was not very keen on discussing her relationship with Pinault on the show, but she was happy to talk about her onscreen boyfriend, Baldwin, on whom she heaped praises.
Hayek also discusses a frightening incident that happened to her 16 month old daughter, Valentina. Valentina is Hayek’s daughter with Pinault. Even at a tender age, she is able to speak three languages, English, Spanish and French. Apparently, she woke up in the middle of the night and staring at a point in space, kept saying “No no no no, au revoir,” which means goodbye in French. She then started saying it in English, “Bye bye, bye bye!”  Hayek is convinced that her daughter saw a ghost because there was no one there when she looked and that Valentine was using different languages to tell the ghost to go away. Hayek says she was so scared, she too turned and screamed, “Yes, au revoir, whoever you are, get out!”
