Chris Brown Gets $22,000 Rolex Back

Despite all his complaints about haters out to get him, Chris Brown is still a lucky man.

The artist chucked his $22,000 Rolex watch into the MTV Video Music Awards audience on Sunday after it came loose, hoping it would land in a safe place. Despite Jay-Z’s obvious disapproval, the Universe appears to be on Brown’s side: A fan returned the diamond-encrusted timepiece to the performer’s VIP protection officer.

Brown’s rep told TMZ, “Although Chris did not get to meet the fan; he is very appreciative of the fan’s actions.”

Chris Brown Avoids Jail

Chrish Brown has agreed to a plea agreement that will spare him from doing any jail time.
Brown, 20, has agreed to be sentenced to five years probation and 180 days of community labor that will have to be served in Virginia. He has also agreed to complete a year of domestic violence classes. He will also need to pay fines. In exchange, he pleaded guilty to felony assault by means likely to cause great bodily injury.

“Mr. Brown, I think it’s commendable that you took responsibility for your conduct,” said Superior Court Judge Patricia Schnegg.
Brown also was ordered to stay at least 50 yards away from Rihanna – except at industry events, when it’s 10 yards – despite a request from Rihanna’s lawyer for a less-restrictive order. For now, Brown was also ordered not to have any contact with her, which includes phone, email and text communications.
“He’s very thankful to all the people who’ve been very supportive,” said Brown’s attorney, Mark Geragos. “This is a kid who’s never been in trouble before, who wants to move past this and make sure that the message gets out that these kinds of things, of domestic violence, are not acceptable. And that he has accepted responsibility and continues to do so and embraces this as an opportunity for him to get his life back on track and his career back on track.”
If he violates probation, Brown will face four years in prison. His formal sentencing is set for Aug. 5, when the court will drop a second charge of making criminal threats.

Another Legal Battle for Chris Brown

Chris Brown’s legal battles just don’t seem to get over. He is again facing legal trouble by a man who claims he was beaten up by one of the singer’s bodyguard.
Brown, 20 is being sued by Robert Rosen for personal injury. He says he was roughed up after he took a photograph of Brown. This happened at a Los Angeles fitness club on March 13, according to the lawsuit filed in L.A. Superior Court.
According to Rosen, a bodyguard chased him after he took a snapshot of Chris who was playing basketball. He tried to run away when one of the employees of L.A. Fitness Club allegedly “tried to block [Rosen's] exit and grabbed his clothing and body.”
Rosen manged to break free but then toppled down a flight of stairs, says the lawsuit. The bodyguard then “picked [Rosen] up by his shorts, and physically assaulted him,” it also says.
“I was severely injured and disabled, both internally and externally,” says Rosen. He says he was imprisoned falsely and wants Chris to cover him for his medical bills and emotional discomfort.
Rosen is also suing the L.A Fitness Club for their negligence.
Mark Geragos, Brown’s lawyer, says, “This is a specious and frivolous lawsuit by one of the paparazzi seeking publicity and a payday. He’s done this before and lost. We will vigorously defend against this.”
The manager at the gym of the L.A Fitness Club made no comment on the situation.
The lawsuit makes no mention if the police were involved.

Rihanna To Testify Against Brown

if she is subpoenaed to appear in court, Rihanna will testify against her boyfriend, singer Chris Brown, her lawyers have confirmed. Brown is currently facing two felony charges for assaulting his girlfriend. He is currently free on $50,000 bail. He was granted a continuance at his arraignment hearing on 5th March 2009.
Rihanna is said to be keen on exerting the full power of law against her boyfriend. He allegedly beat her up and left her face battered and bruised on the night of February 8. She claims she was attacked when she found a long text message on Brown’s phone from his former lover. In retaliation, Brown tried to push her out of the car, and when he couldn’t do so, he threw a ‘barrage of punches’ at Rihanna’s face, bit her ear and pressed her neck until she almost passed out.
The attack was reported to have left Rihanna’s mouth filled with blood, which splattered all over her clothes. It has been suggested in the papers that the injured Rihanna managed to free herself by kicking Brown away and gouging his eyes. A passerby called the police after hearing Rihanna’s screams and cries for help.
Her lawyer Donald Etra told MTV news, “She is planning to do everything that the law requires her to do. If she is required to testify, she will do so.” Etra was overheard telling Brown in court on Thursday 5th March that Rihanna ‘would like this to be over as quickly as possible.’

Tina Davis sent Chris Brown a booty call text

Sources have reported that the text message which is believed to have triggered the fight between Rihanna and Chris Brown leaving Brown with felony offenses was identified to have been sent by Tina Davis, his manager.

Davis who will be 40 this month was rumored to have had a relationship with Chris Brown whn he was 16 though both of them have denied it. She allegedly sent Chris a three page long text, which made Rihanna very violent and Brown retaliated by beating her senseless.

The detective’s affidavit in the case of assault has said that the text was “from a woman who Brown has a previous sexual relationship with.” Law enforcement sources said that the text talked about hooking up later- this really pissed Rihanna off and she ended up slapping and hitting him in a fit of anger.

Brown is seeking a plea deal with no jail time and Tina Davis could not be reached for comment on the new development. Chris Brown and Rihanna seem to have reconciled as they are working on a duet together and Brown is hoping to include this track on his new album. This album is due to be released later this year said a studio source to E! Online. The 2 singers are working on the same project but we can’t say for sure if they are on the same page after everything happened. Our guess is this duet probably wasn’t set up by his manager.

Chris Brown is up for two Nickelodeon Kid’s Choice Awards on March 28 and the feedback from parents has been mostly negative. In fact, Nick and its corporate parent ‘Viacom’ has been flooded with e-mails and calls from angry people who were upset that Rihanna’s alleged attacker could be honored at the Awards.

An official from Viacom said Monday, ”I’ve never seen anything like it. The words I’d use to describe the situation [regarding the avalanche of e-mails and calls] are overwhelming and swamped. [The issue has] even gotten to the Sumner level,” referring to Viacom head honcho and media mogul Sumner Redstone.

A Nickelodeon spokesman has said that the winners would depend mainly on which artists the kids vote for. However, a longtime network insider said Monday, ”If this [pressure] keeps up, I can’t imagine they won’t pull Brown from consideration. People already are working on some kind of exit strategy from this nightmare.”

Unfortunately for Brown, posting a message on his MySpace page to ask his “fans” for support with the Nickelodeon Awards the same day he was charged with two felonies in court didn’t help him re-gain his fans.

Rihanna Can Record Calls She Receives from Chris Brown

Chris Brown was slapped with a court order the other day. Included in the protective orders, Rihanna can record conversations with Chris Brown, which means she can gather evidence against her boyfriend should Brown decides to cause more trouble.

On Tuesday, Chris Brown was charged with 2 felonies in the alleged beating of 21-year-old girlfriend Rihanna. He is barred from exhibiting a host of bad behaviors toward Rihanna, with whom he has reportedly reconciled.

The protective order, which was signed by the Superior Court Thursday, states that Brown may not “harass, strike, threaten, assault (sexually or otherwise), follow, stalk, molest, destroy or damage personal or real property” of Rihanna’s. He also may not “disturb the peace, keep under surveillance or block movements” of her, and must get rid of any guns he may have by surrendering them to police or selling them to a licensed dealer within 24 hours. And he cannot “dissuade or prevent” anybody from attending a hearing or making a report to police.

Since Rihanna has not filed any complaints, Brown is allowed to contact Rihanna in person or by telephone, and there are no limitations to how physically close he may be to her. However, Chris Brown can’t do anything if Rihanna decides to record “any prohibited communications made by the restrained person.”

Unfortunately for Brown, this protective order will expire in March 2012.

A little while after Chris Brown came to an L.A. courthouse for his arraignment, to face charges in connection with the alleged attacks on Rihanna, further proceedings were postponed till April 6.
Chris Brown signed a waiver, saying his attorney, Mark Geragos, would be representing him, when the arraignment continues after 4 weeks, during the short session at the L.A. Superior Court.
Attorney, Donald Etra represented Rihanna, and he said that she asked him to attend on her behalf. “The victim is entitled to be represented at all proceedings,” he said.
The court commissioner Kristi Loustau, gave a ‘Level 1’protective order for Rihanna. This is the lowest level of stay away order.
“You are not to annoy, harass, molest or use any form of violence against anyone,” Loustau told Chris Brown in the court, who appeared somber and slightly dazed.
Rihanna’s attorney, Donald Etra said she did not request for a restraining order against Chris Brown. He also added that the Level 1 protective order was more than efficient to protect her in this case.
Chris Brown did not enter a plea. If convicted he can face four years and eight months in prison. He faces assault by means likely to cause bodily injury and criminal threats. Her attorney spoke to the paparazzi after court, and said that Rihanna wants to convey her appreciation to the friends, followers and family for their support. When asked about the couple getting back together, he said this wasn’t the time to discuss that.

Rihanna and Chris have patched things up and are definitely back together.

The pair united after almost three weeks since Brown, 19, allegedly beat up the “umbrella” singer, a source said.

“They’re together again. They care for each other,” says the source. The on-again couple are currently spending time together at one of Sean “Diddy” Combs’s homes, on Miami Beach’s Star Island.

Adds the source: “While Chris is reflective and saddened about what happened, he is really happy to be with the woman he loves.”

“They are definitely together and care a great deal about each other,” says another source in Miami. “They feel like staying in and working through their issues. So far they have not wanted to go out.”

Learning that his daughter, Rihanna and Chris have reconciled, Ronald Fenty said that he supported the singer in her decisions.

“Whatever road she chooses, I’m behind her,” said Ronald Fenty, when reached by telephone on Barbados. Fenty took the reunion in stride Saturday, as he worked selling novelty items on a street corner in downtown Bridgetown. He says he hasn’t spoken to his daughter since earlier this month, for her 21st birthday, and only found out about the reconciliation through the media.

“We are a family who stick together even though we are apart,” he said.

As for Rihanna, Fenty would only say, “She’s a smart girl.” When asked what he would tell Brown as a father, he demurred, “I have no comment on Chris Brown.”

Brown was booked by LAPD for making criminal threats but the case has not yet been presented to the District Attorney, who will ultimately determine which charges, if any, will be prosecuted.

Rihanna and Chris Brown has reportedly reunited. Although no signs of Rihanna has been caught in pictures, Chris Brown has been seen jet skiing and partying in Miami.

Chris Brown, who had been in the public’s eye for the last three weeks after he allegedly beat his girlfriend Rihanna on Feb 8., has now reappeared and seemed like enjoying life. On the other hand, Rihanna has received the sympathy of people, particularly when the photo of her face with a fat lip and bruises (see below) surfaced online.

According to reports, Sean Diddy Combs has placed the young couple under his palatial home near Miami Beach for a one-on-one quality time. Apparently, Chris Brown had called Rihanna during her 21st Birthday and has started talking since.

Brown was seen jet skiing on Thursday and again yesterday on the waters of the exclusive Star Island, where Diddy’s owns a posh villa. Rihanna’s friends confirmed that the two R&B singers had reconciled and Rihanna is also on Diddy’s place with Brown.

Chris Brown is scheduled to appear in court Thursday. Originally, Rihanna was supposed to attend the hearing to testify, but this may not be happening now that the couple has rekindled the romance, despite her dad’s wishes for Rihanna to “move on.”
