Will Smith has been named the Most Bankable Star by Forbes.com. The star was at the #1 position on Star Currency List on Forbes.com, which measures the financial power of the stars at the box office and ranks them accordingly.
Will Smith was not only voted number 1, he was also awarded a perfect 10 score by people from the movie industry who took the survey. The final results of the survey also took into account the success of a star’s film at the box office, the availability of finance for the star’s project and the star’s appeal to different demographics within the audience.
Will Smith is well know for his general likeability across all audience demographics. All of Smith’s latest ventures have been financially successful. In fact, all of Smith’s last eight films have opened at number 1 at the box office. And, the worldwide collection of just three of his top grossing films amount to an impressive sum of $2 billion.
Will Smith greatest movie hits include ‘Seven Pounds,’ ‘Hancock,’ ‘The Pursuit of Happyness,’ I am Legend,’ ‘Hitch I &II,’ Men in Black I & II’ and ‘Bad Boys I & II.’  According to John Burman of Forbes Media, “He can move from doing the pop film to an ‘Ali’ to a ‘Seven Pounds’ to ‘The Pursuit of Happyness’, so he’s able to play in all worlds and I think people just like watching him on screen.”
The second place on the survey for the most bankable stars was tied by Johnny Depp, Brad Pitt, Leonardo DiCaprio and Angelina Jolie, who all received a score of 9.89.
