Jay-Z and Beyonce Knowles could possibly have extremely easily made millions off the exclusive first photos of their infant daughter Blue Ivy Carter, but they took a distinctly more personal approach on Friday by posting three photos to Jay-Z’s website Life + Times.

The pictures of cute Blue Ivy were accompanied by a hand-written note signed by “The Carter Family,” which read, “We welcome you to share in our joy. Thank you for respecting our privacy during this beautiful time in our lives!” From the looks of it, Blue Ivy has a gorgeous head of thick, dark hair.
