Sometimes it seems the lifeline for Jennifer Aniston’s appeal is her once picture-perfect marriage with Brad Pitt, and she’s subtly mentioned the connection  again while promoting her new film, Horrible Bosses.

In an interview for Inside the Actor’s Studio, she mirrored back on her 2006 film The Break Up, which she shot soon after breaking with Brad.

“It was a beautiful human story about a couple breaking up…You know, I was slightly familiar on the topic and the issue,” she told James Lipton.

The Break Up marked the starting of a career loaded with roles that have paralleled her real-life experiences. She said regarding the healing aspect of filming The Break Up: “I honestly felt like, what a great way to sort of exercise some of that.”
